Finally, we are in the last week of the course. One difficult question was asked by Donna. The question is "To talk about topics that enjoyed more than the others!" For me every single topic we tackled wes really interesting and fruitful. I can't ignore how wonderful was week week one with the introductions. I personally attribute all the success the course has had to that week! We wouldn't have worked this collaboratively, if we we didn't know each other! What a wonderful experience knowing about blogs and nicenet!!!
Week two's ABCD objectives were also nice. They personally gave me a new way of preparing my lessons with clearer objectives. In fact all the topics; Aural/oral skills for week 3, Reading/writing skills for week 4, Project-based learning and WebQuests for weeek 5, Technology tools for creating student-centered classes for week 6, Learner autonomy for week 7, Teacher resources -exercise generators for week 8 and Learning styles for week 9 were all good. Knowing different learning styles however, helped me a lot in knowing the differences in my students and how to cope with these differences. I have realised that a learner is not bad but may be the teaching style does not match his/her learning style hence giving negative results.
I thank you Donna, I thank all of you for your great contribution to this forum.
Regards
Richard

Dear Richard,
ReplyDeleteIt was a fabulous journey of ten weeks, isn't it? We all benefited to the fullest from this course I suppose. We got more work to do in future as we are planning to implement the tools in the class. I'm sure I'll face enough constrains and will have to come back to you all. Will you keep in touch?
All the Best!
Chandy
Hello Richard,
ReplyDeleteIt may be the end of the road, but it's the first step on the rest of your journey with technology! I wish you the very, very best in all you do. I will miss you. Thank you for being such a great course mate to everyone.
Donna
Reading all these comments, I felt so nostalgic. This blog reminds me how many doors this course opened for me. I miss you all and wish we can reconnect somehow. I am now the Chair of Africa TESOL 2017 conference which will take place on 12-13 May, 2017 in Kigali Rwanda. I wish I can see you all in Kigali or at some other conferences sometime.
